Prof Sulieman Bogoro the executive secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund says that it was time for Nigeria to begin moves towards self-sufficiency in weapon production so as to save the future of the country.

The TETFund boss urges academic institutions to brace up and stop theoretical researches that are not proffering solutions to the Nation’s economic and technological challenges.

The executive secretary TETFund said this while on a working visit to the Research and Development Centre of the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) and Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT).

He added that for Nigeria not to be in trouble this is the right time to stop the importation of weaponry and concentrate on locally manufacture industries.
