According to reports candidates whose applied for Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin for the 2014/2015 academic session staged a protest against their non- inclusion in the recently released admission list.

The protesters, barricaded the gate of the institution as early as 8.30 am on Thursda, thus preventing people from gaining entrance. According to witness reports there chants of war songs from the protesters.

In his reaction, the Deputy Registrar, Information and Publications Division, Mr. Moshood Amuda said that the Polytechnic management was disturbed by the action of the protesters as admissions are given on merit.

The incident was later confirmed by the police PRO in Kwara State, Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi said that 13 of the protesters were arrested by the police during the protest and investigations are ongoing.
