Following the announcement of the national working committee of All Progressive Congress (APC), that a fresh congress is conducted in Imo state due to alleged irregularities that marred the last Congress, another Congress has commenced in the state.

 

The ward congress that was conducted today recorded a high turn out and was indeed peaceful.

 

The executive governor of Imo state Rochas Okorocha who was in his village ogboko, in ideato south local government of Imo lauded the exercise saying that this is the only time the party is getting it right Imo state.

 

The newly elected ward chairman of Ogboko ward two commended the peaceful nature of the Congress while thanking the party faithful for electing him as the ward chairman.

 

Meanwhile, some aggrieved members of the party in the state lead by senator Ifanyin Ararume a gubernatorial aspirant under the party has boycotted the exercise on the ground that the issues of APC ward congress is still in court.

 

They promise to come with their stand on the matter through a press statement soonest.
