APC Will Not Rule Nigeria Beyond 2023 - Makinde
The Peoples Democratic Party has declared that the All Progressive Congress will not rule beyond 2023
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde who made the declaration at the inauguration of the PDP Zonal Executive, Southwest in Ibadan said Nigerians will rise against misrule in 2023.
Reacting to the statement credited to the National leader of the ruling All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that APC would rule beyond 2023, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde on Wednesday disclosed that the party has impoverished the masses through its anti-people policies and programmes.
Makinde while addressing the zonal Executive members of the party in the southwest after their inauguration said the Governorship election in Osun and Ekiti States remains a must-win for the party.
The Governor maintained that the APC administration lack focus and a sense of direction, hence the spate of insecurity and lingering economic downturn in the nation.
Makinde enjoined the zonal leaders of the party to be steadfast and remain focus saying the role of the southwest in the political emancipation of the country can not be overemphasised.
In his acceptance speech, the National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Southwest, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja promised to reposition the party in the region through fairness, equity and justice.
Other party leaders at the event maintained that the PDP has regained its voice and will continue to advocate for good governance.
