As reactions continue to trail the worsening spate of insecurity across the country, a Nigerian Senator has lent his voice among those calling for President Muhammadu Buhari's impeachment.

Osun East Senator, Francis Fadaunsi said the Buhari-led government has failed in the primary task of securing the country and its citizens.

He said it is therefore imperative the Senate wades in to salvage the country while harping on the need to discard partisan sentiments while at it.

The Senator who is of the opposition People's Democratic Party PDP, said members of the Upper Chamber of the Nigerian Parliament are now overwhelmed with the news of bloodshed that is now commonplace during plenary sessions.

Recall on Tuesday during Plenary visibly angry lawmakers noted that the government had been evasive on issues that ought to be given attention, particularly those bordering on security.
