Ondo state House of Assembly members have dissociated themselves from the new tuition fee of the Adekunle Ajasin University as announced by the governing council of the institution last week.

Addressing journalists at the state house of assembly on Igbatoro road in Akure, the Ondo state capital, the house committee chairman on information, Rt Hon. Fatai Olotu said the governing council did not carry the house of assembly along with the announcement of the new tuition fees.

Also giving credence to the stance of the house of assembly, the speaker of the house, Rt. Hon. David Oleyeloogun said the assembly holds it a duty to protect the interest of the people which is the fundamental of the functions of the assembly.
