The award of best performing governor of the year 2019 bestowed on Edo State Governor Mr Godwin Obaseki, on the fifth of October 2019, at the Eagles Square, in Abuja, by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT is generating reaction across the state.
As a chieftain of the All progressives Congress, APC and a former PDP governorship candidate election in the year 2012 in Edo state, Major General Charles Airhiavbere Retired, said the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki has failed Edo peoples in all area of development, saying it cannot win the best performing governor in education giving to him by the national leadership of Nigeria Union of Teachers, NUT.
He made this statement while speaking to newsmen in Benin city, stating that the state has been moving backwards in terms of infrastructural development in the Education sector across the state with no new school building and constant closure of institution in the past three years of Governor Godwin Obaseki in office.
