NYSC Organizes Skills Acquisition
The National Youth Service Corp has appealed to Corp members to look at other alternatives to gainful employment instead of relying on government jobs that are no longer available.
The appeal was made by the state Coordinator of NYSC in Adamawa state Ibrahim Tukur during the NYSC Skills Acquisition Entrepreneur programme to give the Corp members sense of direction
He applauds the passion exhibited by the corp. members in developing other skills other than their area of study in their various Universities and tertiary institutions
Gathered here are members of the NYSC brought from different places of their primary assignments with the aim of putting them through some skills in order to be independent whenever they through with the mandatory one service
The head of NYSC SAED programme Jummai Kwabe tasks the Corp members to be serious in learning what to do in future, as government jobs are not longer available
Some of the Corp members thanked the management of NYSC for given them the opportunity to learn how to be independent and promises to apply the skills wherever they find themselves
It is expected that at the end of their service year, they will be able to start their own businesses and become young entrepreneurs.
