Kolapo declared winner Ekiti PDP primaries (see full results)
Prof. Kolapo Olusola has been declared as the Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti state for the July 14 election.
The election which has delegate from all the 16 local government areas of the state held at Eagle hall, has a total delegates of 1968.
Prof. Olusola polled a total number of 1190 votes to defeat Adedayo Adeyeye who polled 771 votes.
The total number of total votes stood at 1961 with a total seven void votes
The returning officer of the delegates election, who is also the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa who announced the result commended all the delegates for their good conduct throughout the period of the exercise.
He disclosed that the peoples Democratic Party has laid a good example for other political parties to follow.
The governorship candidate in his acceptance speech says the process was transparent promising to continue to uphold the ideal and tenets of the party.
Also in his remark, Governor Ayodele who mocked the All progressive Congress says the party has a lot to learn from the peoples Democratic Party interm of organization and orderliness.
