EKITI POLICE PARADE SUSPECT IN MURDER OF EX-NURTW BOSS
Police in Ekiti State have paraded one Adeniyi Adedipe for his alleged involvement in the gruesome killing of a former Chairman of National Union of Road Transport workers, Omolafe Aderiye.
The state Police commissioner, Taiwo Lakanu who paraded the suspect among others in Ado Ekiti, said the arrest of Adedipe followed a fresh evidence gathered during investigation.
The former transport Union boss, Omolafe Aderiye who was murdered on the 25th of September by some suspected gunmen was buried last week.
The Ekiti State police boss said men of the command are making frantic efforts to arrest other suspects who are presently at large.
Lakanu who also paraded five others suspects for alleged conspiracy and armed robbery, said the suspects would be charged to court as soon as possible.
He restated the resolve of the command to tackle crime and criminality in the state.
Meanwhile, robbery incidents have continued to ravage the state, as two policemen, a corps member and a woman were reportedly killed during a bank robbery in Ikere Ekiti.
