The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State said it has secured a stay of execution against the ruling of the Federal High court in Yenagoa which nullified the candidature of its Governorship candidate David Lyon in Saturday’s Governorship election.

This is coming few hours after the pronouncement by the court which has left the opposition party in the state with the only option of appealing the judgment.

Addressing newsmen, the alternate Director General of the APC campaign in Bayelsa state Professor Seiyefa Brisibe said the judgment will not give the party sleepless night as they have filed for a stay of execution.

The leadership of the APC promised to exhaust all possible avenues in ensuring that the judgment did not hold while also promising to win Saturday's Governorship election.
