APC Threatens to Sue Zamfara Governor Over Intimidation of APC Members.
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress has threatened legal action against the people democratic party for the harassment and intimidation of APC member in Zamfara State.
The threat is coming in the wake of alleged allegations of abuse of office leveled against the ruling party in the state.
Receiving APC members in Zamfara state, led by former governor, Abdulaziz Yari at the party’ headquarters Abuja, APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomole frowned at the ill-treatment meted at his party members by the PDP saying the party will seek legal redress in the matter.
Oshiomole also commended the party members for not leaving the APC for another party in spite of the intimidation they suffer from the ruling party.
He urged them to remain focussed and peace-loving as the party will do its best to protect them.
Earlier, leader of the delegation and former governor of Zamfara state, Abdul Aziz Yari pledged loyalty to the party, adding that none of the members of the APC will defect to the people's democratic party no matter the level of intimidation.
Yari said they were at the APC headquarters to show solidarity to the national working committee.
Yari also accused governor Bello Mattaw of using the police to disrupt meetings of the Opposition in the state.
He also alleged that the PDP government in the state of detaining and imprisoning APC members in the state.
