It was a bad Friday for the students, staff, and management of government Secondary school Numan as one student is confirmed dead during a heavy rain that collapsed students’ hostels

The incident happened in the morning after hours of heavy rain in Numan local government area of Adamawa State

One of the teachers who prefers anonymity said there have been calls by the management of the school for the dilapidated hostels to be renovated but all the calls proved abortive

The teacher who spoke to Galaxy News on phone disclosed that the students had their lectures today in the morning before the ugly incident happened, however, appealed to the state government to come to their aid as a matter of urgency

When trying to contact the chairman of Numan local government area who is the chief security officer of the local government prove abortive as the chairman is not picking his calls neither does he returned any call as at the time of filing this report.

Correspondent reports that some of the students are said to be injured and has since been rushed to the hospital for medical attention, as the school has been thrown into mourning
