Police apprehend ritualists with human parts
The Ogun state police command has arrested four suspected criminals who allegedly specialize in killing people for the purpose of money rituals.
Parading the suspects, the state commissioner, of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the criminals comprising of Lateef Aremu and Kolawole Shodipo, were arrested at the Owode-Egba area of the state.
He said the command in synergy with the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) were able to nip in the bud their activities as a result of the information gathered about them.
The Police boss, also warned criminals in the state to turn a new leaf or risk being apprehended.
He however assured residents of the state of their safety.
One of the suspects, Lateef Aremu, while speaking with newsmen confirmed his involvement in the crime, saying he is an herbalist.
Items recovered from the suspected criminals include fresh and dried human parts, human skull, lizard, and charms among others.
