Plaintiffs seek out-of-court settlement
The legal battle over Senator Ademola Adeleke's eligibility to have contested the Osun State People's Democratic Party governorship primaries may soon be over.
This is because counsel to the plaintiffs in the case filed against Adeleke, Olufemi Ayandokun sought amicably and out of court settlement over the matter saying talks are underway between his clients, the defendants and the leadership of the party.
Ayandokun also told the court that the 1st and the 5th defendants in the case had refused to be serviced.
Counsels to the defendants, Edmond Biri-Omoni and Lekan Olayiwola, however, did not object to the request of the counsel to the plaintiffs to settle the matter out of court.
The trial judge, adjourned the case to the 6th of August 2018 to hear all applications and objections filled in the case.
