Oyo drums support for technical education
Oyo State Government has restated its commitment to educational development through the use of technology for a transparent, participatory and responsive learning environment.
The Special Adviser to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Education, Dr Bisi Akin-Akinlabi, who made the disclosure in Ibadan at a news conference added that Oyo State Model Education System Intervention was introduced to promote students achievements and preparation for global competitiveness.
Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the Special Adviser stressed that the scheme since its introduction a year ago has impacted positively on the standard of education in the state, especially in the quality of students who registered for the West Africa Examination Council.
In their separate remarks at the conference, Mr. Paul Callaghan, a technical Analyst and the Vice Chancellor of the Technical University, Oyo State, Prof. Ayobami Salami stressed the need more technical innovations for the youths.
