Okorocha present N190bn as Imo 2018 budget
The Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha has presented over 190bilion Naira as the 2018 budget of the state.
The state governor while presenting the budget tagged a budget of consolidation and continuity 3, said, the budget is aimed at strengthening all the government relevant agencies toward better performance in the coming year 2018.
The governor, however, added that the 2018 fiscal year's budget was guided by the compelling need to accomplish more for the people of the state and to accelerate all the on-going projects and programme in all the sectors of the economy.
Early in his speech, the speaker, Imo state House of Assembly, Hon, Achor Ihim, while giving his address, thanked the governor for coming to present the pivotal document. Ihim sued for a good working relationship between the executive and legislature to enable them to serve the people of the state effectively.
While the people of the state wait for the passage of the budget, Ihim expresses hope that the people of Imo state as they were promised will get the expected change in 2018.
