NPF restates commitment to strengthening Internal Security
The Nigeria Police Force has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening internal security and safety of all Nigerians.
 
Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made the declaration at a News conference in Abuja ahead of a retreat for senior officers, scheduled to take place from January 24 to 26, 2025. The retreat aims to evaluate the Force’s performance and develop strategies for enhanced service delivery.
 
GALAXY TV reports that Adejobi explained that the retreat and conference will bring together senior officers from the rank of Commissioner of Police and above and It will serve as a platform for top police managers to critically review the Force’s internal security operations.
 
He added that it also help to devise strategies to improve service delivery and ensure the safety of the nation saying the theme of this fifth edition highlights the critical role of an inclusive approach to policing in fostering national security and driving economic growth.
 
Adejobi further emphasized that the conference aligned with the Inspector-General of Police’s ongoing reforms to transform the Force into a professionally competent, service-oriented, rule-of-law-compliant, and people-friendly institution.
 
The FPRO reiterated the Inspector-General’s commitment to enhancing the institutional capacity of the Nigeria Police Force to effectively fulfill its statutory mandate.
