The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Ekiti State has condemned the arrest of the Ekiti State Commissioner for Finance Toyin Ojo and the State’s accountant general Yemisi Owolabi over allegations of mismanagement of the State’s bailout fund.

Addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti, the State Capital Odunayo Adesoye, Ekiti State chairman of Trade union congress said the State government has been accountable to the people that elected them into power.

He urged officials of the EFCC not to be over zealous in the discharge of their duties.

He said the use and implementation of the bailout fund were in line with the decision taken by labour leaders in Ekiti State.
