LAUTECH Non-Academic Unions Deny Being Instigated Against Oyo Govt
Members of the Non-Academic Staff Unions of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho have denied being instigated by internal forces against Oyo State Government.
Makinde had during a radio programme in Ibadan on Saturday accused the non-academic unions which include Senior Staff Association of Universities, Non-Academic union among others of being sponsored by some forces against his administration.
Speaking with Correspondent Kunle Ojo in Ibadan the Chairman of Joint Action Committee of the Unions and the Chairman of SSANU, Comrade Aleshinloye Muraina said members of the unions are only demanding the payment of their outstanding Eight Months salaries and 13 months cooperative deductions yet to be remitted.
While he commended the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde in repositioning the institution with the taking of LAUTECH, Comrade Muraina appealed to the state government to give due attention to the demands of the unions and desist from reading meanings to the actions of the non-academic unions in the institution.
He revealed that members of the non-academic unions have been receiving half salary for a while now adding the state government should expedite actions and ensure prompt payment of the outstanding salaries and cooperative deductions.
Recall that following a successful negotiation between the former two owner governments of Oyo and Osun, the sole owner of the institution had been ceded to Oyo state.
