Herdsmen signs peace pact with Ekiti government
The leadership of the Miyetti Allah cattle breeders association of Nigeria has signed a peace pact with the government of Ekiti state, to maintain peace and order within the state.
The agreement was signed in the presence of the representative of the Emir of Kano.
Addressing newsmen on the peace pact, the south-west zonal chairman of the Miyetti Allah cattle breeders association of Nigeria, Mohammed Kabir said herdsmen have been in the south-west for about two hundred years and will always be committed to the attainment of peace in the region.
