Fire raze petrol station in Warri
As a result of the hoarding of petroleum products by petrol stations within Warri and its environs, the petrol station owned by the College of Education, Warri has been razed down by fire.
The fire from the station situated in the school started in the morning as a result of sparks generated from alleged illegal bunkering behind the petrol station, which led to high flames of fire that resulted to students scampering for safety.
The management of the school prevented journalists and students from taking pictures of the affected filing station as a camera belonging to the Delta state-owned television station was confiscated.
Meanwhile, firefighters from the NNPC were still trying to put out the fire as at the time of filing this report, as policemen were drafted in from the Warri area command to maintain peace in the area.
It will be recalled that the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Warri had raised the alarm over alleged sharp practices by petrol station owners, warning them on the dangers of adulterated products.
