DPR seals filling stations
Officials of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Ogun state, led by the operations controller, Abeokuta field office, Muinat Bello-Zagi and Head of Operations, Kasali Akinade have sealed some Petroleum filling stations in the state.
The officials of the DPR sealed the filling stations over the alleged hoarding of petroleum products to customers in the state.
The team visited Idi Iroko, Ilase and other border towns in Ogun West Senatorial district and some towns along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
They noted that their mission was to ensure that operatives of the petroleum filling stations are dispensing accurately and they complied with the directive of the federal government on the official pump price, noting that hoarding is a crime.
Speaking about their observations, the leaders of the team said they realised that some filling stations are selling but they have manipulated their meters, thereby under dispensing to the people.
Others were selling above the official pump price and their filling stations were sealed.
