Delta residents lament continuous flooding
As part of measures to prevent the incessant flooding in the city of Warri and environs, Delta residents who have been affected by flood have called on the Delta state government to be proactive.
This is coming as a result of blocked water channels and drains in the city of Warri, which have resulted to flooding of homes.
Last week flooding of workshops , schools and homes in Warri led to environmentalists calling on government to open up drains in the city.
Some artisans who were displaced from their workshops as a result of the high water level also spoke on the need for proactive measures by government.
Although, the state government have began opening water channels in Asaba the state capital, residents say extending it to coastal areas like Warri will help reduce the impact of flooding.
