Residents of Marine quarter’s community in Warri South local government area of Delta state have berated the state government over what they described as the hastily constructed failed water channels, which they say does not meet the required standard.

This is coming as the blocked drains which were constructed less than two months led to a waterlogged road.

Speaking on the effect of the water channels, the community chairman said it has led to the flooding of their homes.

Some residents express displeasure over the nature of the water channels which they say have done much harm than good.

The community is usually prone to flooding in Delta hence the construction of water channels, while the contractor handling the project has since left the site.
