Army donate to communities
As part of the activities marking this year's Armed Forces Remembrance Day, the Nigerian army has paid a  visit to communities ravaged by the civil disturbance in Adamawa state to donate food items to the residents.
The military took its kind gesture to Dong, a community in Demsa local government area of Adamawa State that was part of the grazer-farmer clash recently. 
 
Shortly after the visits to the affected communities, the military also held Muslim and Christian prayers at the 23 brigades Juma'at mosque and church service at brigade command, in line with the tradition to mark the long week Armed Forces remembrance day celebration. 
 
The state governor, Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla pledge a donation of five million naira on behalf of the state government while five hundred thousand naira his personal donation. 
 
The Brigade commander 23 brigade command brigadier, General Bello Mohammed led his team to the government house in Yola for the launching of the Armed Forces Remembrance day emblem, where he and the Adamawa state Governor said they will join hands and continue to give their maximum support and corporation to the families of the falling heros.  
 
Meanwhile, the military top command in Yola cut short it's festivities to swiftly respond to a distress call from Lau local government area in Taraba state a border with Adamawa state to repel an attack in the area.
