Air force promises peace in southwest
The Chief of Air Staff, Air vice-marshal Sadique Abubakar says the Airforce is being tactical in the fight against insurgencies to ensure a total annihilation of enemies of the country.
He made the assertion at the inauguration of a 12 one-bedroom single officers quarters at the 209 Quick Response Group, Nigerian Airforce Base, Ipetu Ijesha, Osun State.
The chief of Air Staff who was represented by Air vice-marshal Napoleon Bali made it clear that the Nigerian Airforce is flushing insurgents out of their hideouts with serial bombardments in the northeast.
He says in the coming days, the base will see to the end of insecurity in the south-west.
Osun state governor, Gboyega Oyetola appreciated the efforts of the Airforce in securing the south-west states particularly in making Osun one of the safest in Nigeria.
He assures of his government's readiness to always give the needed support to the NAF.
The 12 one-bedroom single officers quarter being inaugurated at 209 Quick response group Airforce base Ipetu-Ijesha is part COAS effort that officers have adequate welfare to allow them to have utmost dication to the task of protecting the nation.
