Police parade suspect for preparing human as meat
The Rivers state police command has paraded one Roland Peters for allegedly kidnapping, killed and beheading one pastor Samuel Okpara, whose liver and intestine were used for preparing pepper soup and yam portage.
The Commissioner of Police Zaki Ahmed in a press briefing at the police headquarters in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital said the suspects were arrested while preparing the meal.
While speaking on the re-arrests of the ritualist who escaped from the police custody, the commissioner of police reassured that the command will re-arrests the suspect and reinstate it commitment to reward the public with ransom with any information that lead to the arrest.
Some of the suspects, who were paraded at the state’s police headquarters, denied the allegation levied against them while others confessed to have committed the crime.
23 suspects were paraded and among items recovered include three AK47 Riffles, 156 live ammunition, and 65 cartridges amongst others.
