Edo:PDP Accuse Oshiomole of Embezzlment
The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party Edo State Chapter have questioned the over 500 million naira Governor Adams Oshiomole takes home monthly as security vote when the state is not in crisis.
The state PDP chairman Chief Dan Orbih who made this known at the party secretariat in Benin-City, the Edo state capital lamented the financial recklessness of our common patrimony by governor oshiomole.
Why calling on the governor to return the all the money he has taken since assuming office said he has no moral right to accused others when himself is not clean.
The party chairman who tendered vouchers of march 2013 to that effect the manner which the security votes were collected at will when the state is not in crisis was most disturbing, adding that he is ready to furnish the EFCC document to that effect all the atrocity of the present administration as long as the anti-graft agency is not selective. He also alleged that the inability of some local government to pay salaries was attributed to the governor who often slashes their allocation.
Meanwhile, the state APC publiciy secretary, Godwin Erahon, defended Governor Adams Oshiomole by saying that such monies is been used to address social issues in order to curb vices which may lead to crime and violence.
However the PDP Chairman also lamented that the 30 billion naira funds obtained from the capital market to address erosion challenges through water storm by the governor is yet to be seen.
