Delta urged to curtail meningitis
Residents of Warri South local government area of Delta state have called on the Delta state government to ensure it has the necessary vaccines, in curtailing the spread of the dreaded meningitis in the state.
This is coming after the number of victims increased to five with the state government yet to introduce the vaccines to the hospitals within the state.
Speaking on the issue, some residents spoke on the need for government to curtail the spread of the disease and advised the state government to apply the Ebola method.
Other residents who spoke said the rapid spread in Warri is not a good experience, and call on the federal government to prevent it from spreading.
It will be recalled that the Central Hospital Warri recorded the first case of a female meningitis patient, while Asaba have since recorded four more cases of the dreaded disease which have killed over three hundred and fifty patient nationwide.
