IGP launches Police Insurance Initiative
The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has announced the launch of NPF Insurance Co. Ltd, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at safeguarding the welfare of police officers while offering comprehensive insurance services to the public.
This initiative seeks to provide robust financial protection for police personnel and reliable insurance solutions for Nigerians.
According to Force PRO ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the initiative demonstrated the NPF’s commitment to supporting its officers, who face daily risks, while fostering public trust and cooperation to enhance national security.
Beyond serving police personnel, NPF Insurance Co. Ltd will cater to the insurance needs of the general public through tailored products that promote security and financial stability.
The unveiling ceremony will host prominent dignitaries, including the Honourable Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, and other key stakeholders such as state governors, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu, retd.
IGP Egbetokun commended the efforts of the Board of Directors, led by its Chairman, AIG Olufemi Adenaike, retd., in realizing this vision.
He emphasized that this initiative bridges the gap between police welfare and public insurance services, positioning the NPF as a leader in aligning security services with citizens’ financial security.
