Edinho, Son of Football Legend, Pele, has been sentenced to 33 years in Jail for money laundering raised from drug trafficking.

The ruling was issued by a judge in the nearby coastal city of Praia Grande, in Sao Paulo.

43 year old Edinho(full names : Edson Cholbi do Nascimento) who works as a goalkeeping coach at Brazilian club, Santos FC, admitted to being a drug addict but denied the trafficking charges.

This is not his first time of getting into drug related problems, he was first arrested in 2005 for a drug trafficking related offence and having ties to a known drug cartel boss in Brazil.

He is expected to appeal the ruling according to Brazilian media.
