Oboh to represent Nigeria at world Stars of Junior Golf Tournament
Georgia Oboh continues her quest to bring glory to the country as the teenager competes for Nigeria at the 2017 World Stars of Junior Golf Tournament holding in Las Vegas, United States.Already, 303 athletes from more than 20 countries and below 18 years have been confirmed for the three-day championships holding at the Paiute’s Golf Course.
Oboh, who has been competing in series of competition across the globe on the bill of her parent will be aiming to make an impression at the global championships ahead of next week’s World Teen Championships.The 16-year-old Edo State-born golfer will be battling it out with 18 others in the girls’ 15-16 years category against athletes from china, Thailand, India, Australia and host – United States.
According to Georgia’s father, Godfrey Oboh, the burden of funding the trips has been overwhelming on the team while efforts are on to secure sponsors for her daughter.
The World Stars of Junior Golf tournament is a premier world junior golf tournament, which is aiming at providing junior boys and girls of all ages with the most competitive field and the ultimate tournament experience. This professionally operated event by PGA golf professionals, PGA apprentices and volunteers makes this a must play for all juniors.This Tournament is a nationally ranked by NJGS, Golfweek, Scratch Player World Ranking, R & A, and recognized by AJGA with performance stars.
