Imo State House of Assembly finally impeached the Deputy Governor Prince Eze Madumere despite standing court order restraining them from doing so. 

19 Lawmakers signed the impeachment paper out of the 27 members.

The Speaker Imo State House of Assembly Hon. Acho Ihim says the impeachment of Prince Eze Madumere is based on the report of the 7 man panel headed by the state Chief Judge Pascal Nnadi.

Prince Eze Madumere was accused of abandonment of office duties, not attending EXco meetings and alleged ex-convict in the united states of America among others.

Meanwhile, the House has also unveiled the new deputy Governor. He is Callistus Ekenze who before now is the head of service.
