Ekweremadu classifies Mimiko as treacherous politician
Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Ike Ekweremadu has described the former governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Mimiko has a treacherous politician who always pursues personal and selfish agenda.
Ike Ekweremadu made this statement while speaking with journalists at the Akure airport on his way to Ado Ekiti with other members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) committee for Ekiti gubernatorial election.
The deputy senate president commended the leadership of the PDP in Ondo state and promised that there will be an improvement in support from the national leaders for the party in the state.
Speaking further, Senator Ekweremadu accused the reigning APC government of vivification of members of opposition parties especially PDP but predicted that the phase shall soon pass away.
Meanwhile, leading hundreds of PDP members in Ondo state to welcome the special election committee at the Akure airport, the state chairman of the party, Engineer Clement Faboyede and the national vice chairman, south-west, Dr Edy Olafeso posited that the exit of Mimiko has turned out to be a blessing to the party as many notable aggrieved members are returning in tranches.
