The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the nomination of Dr. Kingsley Obiora for appointment as the Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria.

The confirmation followed the consideration of the report of Senator Uba Sani-led Senate Committee on Financial Institutions by the Senate Thursday.

The committee, while commending the quality of the nominee and his patriotic zeal, said the nomination underscored the importance of merit in considering Nigerians for appointments.
