MAPOLY students protest
Vehicular and human movement have been put on hold around major areas of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital as students of the Ogun state owned Moshood Abiola Polytechnic embarked on a peaceful protest demanding the immediate resolution to the impasse on the inability of the students to have their semester examination.
Dressed in black attires ,the students with different placards matched through major streets to demand an immediate action by government to have their institution reopened for normal academic activities to commence after three months of their stay at home over disagreement with the state government and their lecturers over the relocation of the institution to Ipokia
There have been a face off between the state government and members of the Academic Staff Union Polytechnics (ASSUP) Moshood Abiola Polytechnic chapter, which has lead to an industrial action that has paralyzed academic activities in the institution.
