In line with the federal government action against climate change, the Nigerian Defence Academy Afaka Kaduna has flagged off its 2020 green project.

The green project is aimed at giving a good landscape to the academy by planting over ten thousand trees which will also contribute to the fight against global change.

Addressing newsmen, the commander Nigeria Defence Academy Kaduna, Maj Gen Jamil Sarham said as an institution they are trying to inculcate the habit of preserving the environment to the cadets among other reasons.

Major Sarham also said that in partnership with the federal ministry of forestry the institution has put in place measures to sustain the project in the institution.
