The swift response of the Delta state police command in bringing the killers of its officers to book, is an indication that the Delta police command has regained its rightful place in tackling criminality.

These were the words of the inspector general of police Kayode Egbetokun while addressing officers and men of the Delta state police command, after commissioning the officers mess at the headquarters in Asaba.

According to the IGP, the killing of nine officers of the Delta police command was a sad incident which they responded to swiftly by neutralizing those involved.

On his part, the Delta police commissioner CP Olufemi Abaniwonda said the visit of the IGP will help to enhance the commands readiness in tackling crime and criminality.
