Gunmen in the early hours of Monday, besieged the Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Awada, and Onitsha stations. The gunmen are believed to be those terrorizing the State for over a year as they burnt a building, a company bus, and another vehicle parked on the premises belonging to a staff who had worked overnight.
Our correspondent upon a call to the police public relations officer Anambra command Tochukwu Ikenga who confirmed the incident gathered that no life was lost in the attack, but the gunmen brutalized the staff they met on the premises, inflicting injuries on them.
It was also gathered from a staff who pleaded for anonymity, that they were being interrogated by security agents over the attack.
Anambra Broadcasting Service ABS is a State government-owned broadcasting company and has been giving support to the Prof. Charles Soludo-led government in its fight against rampaging gunmen in the state.
