Dickson signs teachers training bill into law
As part of measures to improve the standards of education in the state through the training and retraining of teachers, the Bayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson has signed the teachers training certification bill and science and technology bill into law.
The governor signed the bill under the watchful eyes of the speaker and members of the state house of assembly at the exco chambers of the government house in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital.
Speaking at the brief ceremony, Governor Seriake Dickson spoke on the criteria for having a sound teachers base
On his part, the speaker of the Bayelsa house of assembly, Kombowei Benson stressed on the benefits of the signed bills.
The governor later appended his signature to the bills signifying the signing into law, while the high point was the presentation of the Silverbird education award to the governor by his deputy for his feat in the education sector.
