Delta CP Reads Riot Act to Cultists
The Delta state police commissioner Muhammad Ali has read the riot act to cultists operating within the Warri axis and the state to relocate or face the consequence.
This is coming less than a week after the Divisional Police Officer in Warri A division CSP Mahmud led a crack team to arrest eight suspected cultists at Jeddo community during an initiation ceremony by the Black axe confraternity.
In a statement made available to Galaxy news, the Delta CP warns that the state police command will no longer tolerate the killings by cult groups across the state while calling on parents to ensure their wards are advised on the dangers of cultism.
It will be recalled that six persons were last week killed in Asaba the state capital as a result of cult-related incidents, while the police have promised to ensure it does not happen again.
