The Ogun state governor Dapo Abiodum has presented a total of #1,055 trillion for the 2025 fiscal year before the state house of assembly in Abeokuta, the state capital

Presenting the budget tagged “budget of Hope and prosperity before the 10th legislature, the governor earmarked #600, 98 as capital expenditure and #453.56 trillion as recurrent expenditure.

Giving an overview and outlook of the budget, Governor Dapo Abiodum proposed #1.055 trillion as the total budget with #600.9 trillion as capital expenditure and #453 trillion as recurrent expenditure as he promised fiscal discipline and responsibility

According to him, the budget would be financed largely by internally generated revenue and receipt from federal allocations and will be heard towards critical infrastructure development, ongoing projects, education, and security among others

The speaker of the state house of assembly, Oludaisi Elemide promised continuous support and cooperation without compromising the principles of checks and balances and quick passage of the bill into law
