Adamawa/Taraba command of the Nigeria customs service has raided a residential building along Doubeli bye Pass in Jimeta and seized an undisclosed number of bags of foreign rice

A spokesperson of the command Muawuya Abubakar said the seizure was made possible through an informant who disclosed the location of the house

He said the operation was conducted in line with the mandate of the service, urging members of the public to desist from smuggling activities

According to him, the command is doing its best and whosoever is arrested in the connection must face the full wrath of the law

He said the house will be under lock and key pending an investigation into the matter
