Osinbajo, others visit Osun governor
Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo and some members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), have on Tuesday, August 8, stormed Ilesha, in Osun state for the Eight days Fidau prayer for the departed mother of the state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, Late Saratu Aregbesola.
Prof. Yemi Osinbajo arrived Ilesha in company of the Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi and his counterpart from Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose.
In his sermon at the occasion, An Islamic scholar, the Chief Imam of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun state, Sheikh Taofiq AbdulHameed, advised Nigerian leaders to see their position as temporary.
The Islamic scholar enjoined those saddled with leadership responsibilities to see it as a test from the Almighty Allah.
He said they can only pass the test if they bring comfort to the masses and discharge their responsibilities to the best of their ability.
Ekiti state Governor and the former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Nuhu Ribadu also speaks.
The Fidau prayer was attended by some serving and past governors as well as other dignitaries featured special prayers for the repose of the soul of Saratu Aregbesola.
